You will take role as Software Eng Asst Manager, using your advanced knowledge of the Software engineering discipline, processes and tools to help Honeywell fire business deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers. Software Eng Asst Manager is a techno-managerial role. As a technology leader you will collaborate with multiple functional & business stakeholders. You will drive innovation & performance culture in your team. You shall demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment. You will have 8-12 people reporting and you need to manage their performance and career development.. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of fire software products by designing, testing and/or validating products/processes from prototype to market. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs while acting as a mentor to more junior engineers. You will interact with internal and external customers to facilitate the completion of products to customer specifications.
**Responsibilities will include:**
+ Overall 10+ years of experience in software product development
+ Drive Requirements, Analysis, architecture, design & development using sound engineering principles adhering to standards & Product / Program requirements.
+ Experience in leading medium to large cross functional software development agile teams to achieve business outcome within given constraints
+ Experience in deploying SDLC best practices to achieve engineering goals with measurable outcomes, ability to identify & remove waste is desirable
+ Experience in deploying visual & metrics-based management practices in agile teams for effective scope, quality & schedule management in collaboration with business & functional stakeholders
+ Experience in leading Agile teams in SAFe release trains is a plus, we value Agile & SAFe certifications
+ Hands on experience in developing performant & fault tolerant systems for on-premise & cloud deployment,
+ Should have managed or architected one enterprise cloud application development with IOT platforms and its deployment process
+ Understanding of architecture & design principles, business requirement management will be preferred
+ Should be self-motivated and able to manage multiple conflicting priorities
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills is a must
+ Experience in People management is a must
+ Hands on experience in developing systems to communicate with field devices is desirable
+ Experience with Fire systems will be a plus
